This one is the same but I really wanted to fix the linework on this one. The fingers were too thin and the lines were too choppy in the original. The new one works much better.
I also realize, if I'm including a turn of phrase like "clawing fiends" as an individual monster, I should probably draw a "ghastly shade".
Well that's it. Those are all the redrawings I have done for now. If you've been following along you may remember I said I was going to redraw the first 50 Lovecraft creatures I've ever drawn. I've done that and more. I'm now working on getting the first 75 redrawn. So expect more down the road.
Next week is a return to SFTB! Well....kinda.

ReplyDeleteI would also like to tell you that I've consulted your artworks for a Call of Cthulhu campaign to help me visualize the threat and to help my grandmother visualize as well whenever I read to her a story from Lovecraft.
My two favorite Lovecraftian monsters that you've drawn is the Fungus Vampiric Ghost (The Shunned House) and the Ghoul Hound of Leng (The Hound).
I have one question to ask; did you scrap or put Azathoth on hold (it is currently at part 20)?
