HUNTER
"It was a tall, skinny thing, human-shaped--Franny said that her father had made the Hunters as a preliminary study for his masterpiece, the Dancers--and it moved in a way that reminded me of an inchworm. It bent over, felt around on the floor with its arms, straightened up, moved on a couple of pads, and repeated the process. It didn't seem to have any face."
Margaret St. Clair, The Dancers Of Noyo
